Ok, I feel remiss. I've only been contributing nonsequitors to posts on the board and I think it's time I polluted the board with some of my musical taste while I'm at it.
Allow me to present Akira Yamaoka, creator of and composer of the soundtracks to the original Silent Hill games. Contrary to what you may think, this guy is pretty amazing, being capable of both ambient tracks like this:
Up to heavier tracks like this:
And both of these are within the same soundtrack (the second game). If interested, I can find vids for a few of my favorites from 3 and 4.
