They took a mediocre Megadeth song and made it a terrible pop song... didn't like it the first time I heard it, but this time it literally made me cringe.

I think its a great song. its not overtly technical as anything from R.I.P. but it is ssssssssssooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful ...

refuse to listen to it, I love the original version, but I hated it when was covered with another chick and Dave.

You are correct.

Eh, I like that one. Nothing beats the original, but that one doesn't stray too far it despite the female vocals. I would say that re-recording was pointless, but in no way is it horrible.

I finally got around to listening to Heart of Gold. It's pretty obvious her voice was artificially "filled out" as she seems a bit pitchy as a singer, but she's young yet. Plenty of time to develop pipes.

A Tout Le Monde is a good song, but it's suffering from "Billing it higher than it deserves" syndrome. It's the Megadeth "Dark Side of the Moon." Worse yet, it's their Dark Side of the Moon which was already given a totally musically inappropriate treatment by the band itself. Seriously, that lyric did NOT lend itself to a duet treatment at all. I'm sure there's no shortage of classic 'Deth songs that you could have turned into a dialog between two singers and had it make sense too, which is the greater shame of it.

A Tout Le Monde has never been one of my favorite Megadeth songs, but it's certainly not bad. It works well live too.

I don't care for this version at all though! "Heart of Gold" is not great either, but I think it was a poor song choice for their collaboration to begin with.

The Megadeth duet kind of works, I don't mind it at all. The Neil Young cover is criminally bad, utterly destroying a great song. They should both go to jail.
