| This band was on our local show this morning. Just bought the download. Great bluesy hard rock. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I just saw them open for Def Leppard and KISS about a week and a half ago. They were OK but didn't really have the energy, stage show, and/or hooks to captivate that particular crowd. I couldn't understand why they would open with a song as mid-paced as "It's Gonna Take Time." That said, I like this genre and overall they do it well. I should check out their studio material. This afternoon: KISS--Revenge Psycho Motel (Adrian Smith)--Welcome to the World Sanctuary--Into the Mirror Black

| That does seem like an odd pairing. They're nothing like Def Leppard. They're more like Cry Of Love or Tangier. I could see Dead Daisies opening for somebody like The Answer.
What is it with Def Lep and odd bills. Back in college they were on the On Through The Night tour when I saw DL open for Jefferson Starship.
BTW, They should have opened with Face I Love from their new EP. It's a much more uptempo number. But it still probably wouldn't appeal to a Leppard crowd. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

That would be weird! But the setlist must have been awesome considering the album they were touring for... I'm not sure what was up with the Dead Daisies appearance on this bill. If anything I'm sure KISS, or more likely Live Nation, was behind it. But they were only on for select tour dates; the others featured Kobra and the Lotus, whom I've never heard of.

| That's an even weirder pairing. From what I've heard I'd describe Kobra and the Lotus as female-fronted goth metal. They are definitely more metal than Dead Daisies but I still can't see the "Pour Some Sugar On Me" crowd appreciating their music much. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

They didn't, when they played in Tampa, they opened up the show, and while nobody boo'ed, they were mostly ignored. I still did not love them but I sort of dug them,
