I forget what it's properly called, but the guy from Muse is big into it. I think it's a software synth thing. It's actually run out to something else, which then tells it how the sound is being "manipulated" by the touch control. Usually filtering and things like that. Used REALLY tastefully here.
Ok, Ok, she's not a guitar wizard - no Malmsteen or Stevie Via or Mick Marrs - but after one or two lessons - I think she gets the basic idea of metal !

Eddie Van Halen first learned to play in a similar fashion. Once his balls got in the way, he moved onto finger-tapping instead.

I've been trying to find that "Voo Doo" song for a couple of days. I remember hearing a song in some forum I wanted to add to my '80s mp3 player. It was "Voo Doo", but I couldn't remember the title of the song or the artist. I searched my YouTube history to no avail, then I remembered I have 2 YouTube accounts, and finally found it yesterday. Of course, NOW this thread was bumped to the top.
