Hey you crazy a** die hards - I'm new here - but I noticed there was no Q5 in the Q section - Does anyone know anything - about the band - esp. the singer - The cd has about 5 stand outs, which is impressive in my book ! " Pull The Trigger " Get Ready to meet your maker Make a date with the Undertaker ( opening lyrics ) it's a song about paying a hitman - ( ah, Metal Church . . 'no one will ever know. ..IT WAS youuuuooohhohhh' ) As I think of it - MALICE has 2 songs on the same theme - " Vigelantee ( sic ) AND " Murder " on the same disc !

This section was much bigger but the server automatically dumped like 90% of it. Nobody, did a post about either Q5 albums. I dig "Steel The Light" way better than "When The Mirror Cracked"
I remember seeing Q5 members playing in TKO before joining Q5 and some members became Nightshade after Q5 disbanded.

Steel the Light is great and When The Mirror Cracked is not so great. Nightshade is well worth looking in to as well. So pretty much what James B. said.

Uncle Sax sent me the Nightshade stuff a while back and it is pretty good.

The first Q5 is killer; the second one, not so much. I own the first one and the follow-up single, both titled Steel The Light. I bought the single to get the non album track - That's Alright With You, which is not a bad song in itself. There is an awesome bootleg recording from the Steel The Light era floating around titled Live On KZOK from which the track That's Alright With You came from. A radio broadcast that showcased what a live juggernaught they were. Little known fact was that Floyd Rose was at least ten years older then the rest of the band, and was already 36 years old in 1984 when the debut came out.

Evan Sheeley is closer to Floyd's age than 10 years. I'd say 6 or 7.

Found this on youtube - drummer could replace Phil Rudd I find it amazing that these guys are still friends and rockin' - Is that Sweden's national anthem the guitar player played ? Wow - 25-30 years later - and a good size festival ! Love - how their Marshall's are on wheels - roll em in boys ! The Great White cover - compared to the original - not quite as good. But a curious and fun listen - someone made a sexy monatage of a gal to that song - but they removed it from youtube - it had Steve Tyler's daughter - photos - etc

Yes they are finishing up a new CD for Frontiers and my man Jeffrey is banging the skins! Should be some great stuff!
Uncle (nut)Sax kicked me down that Nightshade stuff, thumbs up. Jeff is a good drummer (IMHDO)
It is some quality stuff and Jeff has been in a number of projects that have churned out quality tunage.
And "IMHDO", it takes one to know one, right?

I was reading the book ROCKS ! By Joe Perry - At some point Joe began designing his own whammy bar set up - but didn't pursue it , after having the basic idea after 6 months. Joe Perry says Floyd Rose produced the exact thing that he was working on - I once played a new green Krammer - with a Floyd Rose - couldn't deal with it - sold it - went back to Les Pauls !!
