| Finished the "Tom Clancy's Net Force: Springboard" the other night and now I'm in the midst of a cool serial-killer suspense novel called "The Weatherman" -- can't remember the name of the author off the top of my head, but whoever he is, the guy is GOOD! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Zora and Nicky - A Novel In Black And White I picked this one up for Momma and she liked it so much she said I should read it. I did and it was great! My man-card might need pulled, as this was a romance novel!! | |

Ohh and for anyone interested, Beef cattle are making 1.68cent a kilo in the local slaughterhouse, get you animals over here quick them prices wont stay good for long. |

Nope, but I got a question about the physical location of hell the other day from someone who was in a conversation with someone who was reading it. I equivocated.... Curently reading: Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follett

| "Baseball in '41" by Robert W. Creamer
I guess I don't get into fiction too much, although I love C.S. Lewis's fiction and have enjoyed Stephen Lawhead from time to time.

Think I read that before....chronicling Teddy and DiMaggio. I've read about both a lot. DiMaggio was beloved and turns out he's the biggest douche ever. Ballgame was booed by his own fans and turns out he's got a giant heart and just likes to chill.

| I'm about halfway through "Baseball in '41", and there have been only slight mentions of DiMaggio and Williams. The author talks about the Dodgers, the Giants, Yankees and Cardinals. He'll probably go into the DiMaggio and Williams thing a little more as I read further, but he seems focused on the OTHER things that happened in baseball in the early '40s such as Hank Greenberg's enlisting in the military. It's a very enjoyable read. Glad to see someone else likes to read about baseball history. | |

It's been a few years since my last binge....but every so often I just go nuts. I like reading about the stuff that happened long before my time.

| The Godfather. Very good book with a lot of extras left out in the movie. All the brutal stuff was in the book, but not the movie. |

They're an awesome read.

| After finishing the Tom Clancy and "Weatherman" books listed earlier in this thread, both of which were rather heavy reads, I spent the last two nights reading some junk food for the brain -- "Sold For Slaughter," #60 in the "Mack Bolan: The Executioner" action/adventure series. (I love those books, they're a total guilty pleasure, just like potato chips or Warrant CDs...)
Now that I've had a little break I can read something a little more hefty when I pick up my next book. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| For my english class I'm reading
Adios, Strunk And White by my teacher Gary Hoffman, it's a book on writing essays and all the grammer and form stuff that good writers use.
The Best American Essays (Fifth Edition)
Every Wednesday when I have a seven hour break at school, I don't want to waste gas by driving home in between my other class, so after I'm done with my homework, I read a couple chapters in Beer For Dummies, very informative.

| Tyrannosaur Canyon - Douglas Preston - Spoiler:
Pretty good book about a super-well preserved giant T-Rex fossil that harbored alien viruses that could threaten the Earth and was what helped wipe out the dinosaurs. The virus came with the meteor that started the plunge into extinction. The virus finished them off.
