Despite my general disliking of d-bag Phil Anselmo as a person, I've pretty much liked everything I've heard from Down to various degrees, so I expect this one to be no exception.

I recently started listening to Down. I'm really digging the sludge/southern metal feel of their stuff. It's miles better than Superjoint Ritual. Just saying, SJR was kinda of...eh. Then again, so was many of Phil's side projects.

I saw Superjoint Ritual live at Ozz-fest years ago and thought they were just awful. Nothing but noise with Phil shouting and acting all tough.
Down is way better (and way different) in my opinion. Phil can still get a bit shouty, but there's a groove there I dig.

After Nola, I lost all interest with Down. I just couldn't find anything remotely memorable about their releases. That song above, unfortunately confirms what I have been saying. Love Phil's vocals when he sings too!!
