| So the Puscifer album is coming out soon. This is the side-project of Maynard from Tool. With the album being titled V Is For Vagina I expected something totally non-serious.

I don't know, though, that's pretty serious stuff right there. |

| Tool completely lost me after their second full length album and to be honest I do not really care for all the side projects they are doing either. It's not bad it just doesn't get to me. |

| Not my thing (not surprising, seeing as I can't stand Maynard from Tool in the first place). _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

| goofy little video but a different band, I dont think it is Pusicfer. Anyhow I was looking forward to his side band till I heard the single and man I know this guy hates God but the single is so sick that I simply cant purchase that album. I usually can let people have their own opinion and it not offend me, but somehow he seemed to do get to me this time. | |

| Well, that looks like him in the clip. And...he hates God? I actually just think he doesn't believe God exists, or is against organized religion. If he believes God doesn't exist, that's not hate at all. You can't hate something that you believe doesn't exist. As for the lyrics, I'm not so sure how much they are about religion. Seems like he's just using religion as some sort of platform for...talking about sex? I don't know. Maybe it's about Mary? They're definitely fairly crude, but I didn't get the sense that he was attacking anything. (I just looked online for them.) |

| Well I should clarify that the video wasnt what I mean was offensive to me, the single I heard on his upcoming album was what I meant and when I decided I wont pick up the new album.
He has made it clear that he doesnt not beleive in God and hates the idea of one. He in turn loves to mock those who do and like to parade it like a joke. Many interviews have shown this, plus his lyrics to some songs can, not to mention a couple stunts he played to make fun of those who follow God.
One example: He played a stunt making fun of that guitar player who left Korn because he became a christian. Maynard posted he found Jesus as well, and was leaving Tool. That guitar player from Korn was even quoted to say "I am happy for him, I hope he isnt kidding, but I support his choice to leave and start new".
About a month later Maynard claimed the guy Jesus he found was a homeless man he hung out with and did drugs and booze with, and he is ready to sober up and finish the Tool album.
Whatever way you look at it, the point is, I can ignore him decently enough but the new song I heard (which was not the one in the clip) was enough for me to pass, regardless of various opinions on where his beliefs stand, or lack there of.
I was bummed cause I actually think he is very talented and a great singer. | |

| You're talking about "REV 20:22" or whatever it is, right? That's the one I'm referring to. As for his supposed stunt against the guitarist for Korn, it had nothing to do with the Korn guitarist. It was an April Fool's joke, later recanted on the 7th of April, not a month later. But hey, I'm not defending the guy, just trying to shed some light on some things. I could be wrong, of course, so don't take this as law. I'm not familiar with all that he's said or done, simply because I don't care. It's not worth my time to care, you know? |
