Gridlink

Don't suspect they'll have many fans here, but Gridlink has genuinely surprised me. I usually hate grindcore with a passion despite my love for extreme metal, prior to checking into Gridlink I hadn't found any grindcore I enjoyed other than Napalm Death and the Bent Sea "Noistalgia" EP and I wasn't interested in finding any more. But, I found that the sheer talent of these musicians has opened me up to the genre. They have some really creative riffs, and unlike most grindcore don't just come off as noise to me. Sadly Longhena will probably be their final album and in all likelyhood vocalist Jon Chang's departure from music to pursue other ventures in life.

I like them a lot. They are pretty unique within the grind scene.
