I like Whirlpool and Kenmore personally.

We have a Maytag and it works fine. Not that I know much about dishwashers.

I just ordered it at Lowe's today. After doing some online research I went with a Bosch. Plus Bosch is refunding all delivery and setup charges in the form of a Visa gift card.

I checked a Whirlpool and the Bosch had a lot more features. I almost went to Sears to check out Kenmore (my washer and dryer are Kenmore and so were the ones I had in the apartment for 10 years and I've never had any trouble out of either set) but the Bosch was on sale plus offered the gift card so that the installation is free.

Music-wise I got Saxon's Strong Arm of the Law and Power and Glory, remastered editions. Also got some dvd's and books.

Not to be depressing, but I'd happily trade all the stuff I got and more if I could have back my best friend, the daughter of one of my other best friends, and my foster dog, who all died in a period from Dec. 21 to 29. Not a good season in these parts.

My wife got me a case (8 giant bottles) of Trooper, the Iron Maiden beer. I love that woman.

Nice!! I've only found Trooper once in stores around here. I've gone back to them several times since to see if they've restocked it but so far, nothin'...even tho the guy keeps saying "Yeah, I can get it, I can get it" when I ask about it. I finally gave him my cell # and told him to text me if more ever comes in!!

I was shocked that she was able to find a case. She may have had the local distributor order it special. It's a hot seller 'round these parts. I've only been able to score one bottle at a time and even that was scarce. I've checked out 4 or 5 local places and it's always sold out.

I was also surprised how good it is. Much better than I expected it to be. Not too heavy, especially coming from an English brewery.

That's what happens when you spend too much "family time" over the holidays, seeing nieces & nephews and getting brought up to speed on the new lingo. I also know what twerking is. And I wish I didn't.

I've been using the new dishwasher I bought with my Christmas money since Thursday and I have to say this is the quietest dishwasher I've ever been around. I keep checking to make sure it's actually doing something because most of the time I can barely hear anything from it.

So far the only thing I don't like is the red digital display. All the other digital displays on my kitchen appliances are either blue or green; the red just seems too glaring.
