Any fans of this band on here? I'm a die-hard fan of classic Christian hard rock/classic rock/metal, and I like every album these guys have done. They started out with a very 70s hard rock sound, before moving to a slightly more 80s style (while still, IMHO, retaining a 70s vibe on many tracks). Here are songs from each of their 5 studio albums:
I wasn't sure which forum to put this discussion in, so move it if need be.

I really enjoy DB. I think they just play great straight ahead rock. Their newer songs are pretty good too. Would love another album from them.

Yeah, I've heard some of their new stuff on the resmastered CDs I've got. It's as good as their classics, IMO.

I would agree. I think they still have it.

Now they just need to do another album. A lot of classic Christian bands are, so why not them?

Count me in. Always thought these guys were a cut above most of the gospel rock acts of the time.

Good, no frills rock for the most part. I love the first album the most but all of them have good stuff.

Good hard rock Christian band that was sold as a Christian metal band for their latter albums....

i never saw them as metal but the labels also lumped Petra under that metal moniker.

I found DB through one of those Christian/Secular comparison charts. It said if you're a fan of Triumph, you'll like Daniel Band. Okay, they weren't really all that Triumph-y, but I ended up really liking them. Good stuff!

I found some of their stuff to be more April Wine then Triumph.
Are the "new" songs really new or old songs finally getting on albums? It All Turns to Rain is a superb song.

Yep, I remember when On Fire came out and "they" tried to sell it as a pop metal album

It is my understanding the new songs are new compositions and recordings.

yeah - Petra and DB always seemed out of place on those comps alongside of Deliverance, Bloodgood, Tourniquet, etc back in the early 90s.
