A few local bands are playing on Friday night. It's so rare we get a show where any band is even remotely heavy, and some good friends are attending as well.

Yea, as much as a GnR fanboy I am, Slash's solo stuff never quite fires on all cylinders. It's good, but never GREAT. Part of it is Myles. His voice gets on my nerves a little. I'd still go see 'em live if I had the opportunity though.

And I remember now that I have seen Slash in a 3rd incarnation already. He toured as "Slash's Blues Ball" back in the 90's, right after he left GnR. They were just a touring act, never recording anything, and playing mostly covers. I caught that show too.

Yeah Myles has that affect on mine too there is one song they do i do like though. I would have loved to see GNR and Velvet Revolver live. Though being the big Weiland fan I am i did get to see him live a year before he died.

I went last night. Priest was awesome. Purple was very boring in comparison. Not to slag on Purp, but they just can't follow up a band like Priest. It was 2 very different styles and presentations.
