BLS & Down - 5/15/14

Just got back from this. I have seen BLS several times and they were fine, but I had never seen Down. I enjoyed them very much. Phil's voice was not too bad compared to some of the clips I have seen. Also, he's got a gut and a beard now. Ha!

I really enjoyed Down's set, much more than I thought I would. I made a comment that Phil looked like he's been hitting Five Guys burgers a bit too much lately....

Primal Fear was great last night! They even did "Running In The Dust" which is one of my favorites. Too bad the venue was only about 1/3 full - on a Friday night! That's just sad Pittsburgh. No wonder the metal scene here sucks.

Skeletonwitch with Amon Amarth and Sabaton on October 24th. Yes, it's a ways away and it's after the DevilDriver concert I said I was going to see, but the Witch is one of my favorite bands of all time and I've already bought my tickets to see them when they come to The Fillmore.

I saw all of those bands recently when they came through Denver. Amon and Sabaton tore it up. It actually wasn't until I saw Sabaton live that I bought in. I hadn't really been able to get into them before that, but they made a fan out of me.

I finally caught Havok last night! Great, great show!

This happens here in Denver, too. A couple of weeks ago when we saw Iced Earth the place wasn't full. I couldn't believe it. The only sold out show I've been to was Amon Amarth.
