| In a couple of weeks, the wife & I are taking a roadtrip to Greenwich. She's got a freelance gig up there and I'm tagging along for the ride and free luxury hotel room. I drop her off at noon, then I'm on my own for the entire day to wander around town.
Any good music shops in the area? Or a good pub for a burger and a pint? Anything at all that I need to see in Greenwich? Left to my own devices for the day, I don't want to sit in my hotel room and stare at the walls.
Any recommendations are welcome. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

Any recommendations are welcome. You'll be staring at the walls in a luxury hotel suite at least.

| If it's a luxury hotel I'd ask the concierge. I lived in CT for three years but I was way down in the southwest tail of the state. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Any recommendations are welcome. While the wife is out "freelancing", are you up for a Boston Steamer? I'd catch a plane to make it happen. Just throwin' it out there.

| Greenwich and the neighboring town of Stamford are both boring as hell. Avoid these places. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| CT is boring as hell no matter where you go. Although, I saw a man naked hang gliding near the waterfront in Bridgeport one time. | |

There was nothing going on in either town that I couldn't have found at home. No cool restaurants, music shops, book stores, strip joints, anything. The most interesting place I found was a mall. Dullsville, daddy-o. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Considering =I= live in CT and have for most of my life it all depends on where you go and what you're into. Though I live closer to Hartford now a days for a long time i lived in the southeast corner of the state. Music stores I know of are a rarity though they have Newbury Comics that has an ok selection, I normally go there when looking to fill the holes in my David Bowie collection. New Haven has Louis Lunch which I think claims to have made the first burger or something there good from what i hear. Just depends on where you go..... yeah crap costs alot here especially the closer you get to NYC. | |

That's for that information. Would have come in handy a month ago. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.
