| Just came back from Virgin Megastore to get the new Iced Earth disc and went looking through their selection and what did I see in the Rock Tribute section? The Hip-Hop tribute to Iron Maiden . I read it twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things!!!! | |

| Dude, if the hip-hop tribute to Def Leppard is any indication, the Maiden tribute will be horrendous! I'm not saying it's no possible to make a cool hip-hop cover of a rock/metal song, but the DL tribute is just so terrible it's not even funny. Go on Amazon.com and give it a listen. |

Go on Amazon.com and give it a listen. OK, I'll say it then, "IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO MAKE A COOL HIP-HOP COVER OF A ROCK/METAL SONG". There, I feel much better!

Go on Amazon.com and give it a listen. any version of a Def Leppard song is bound to suck. don't blame the rap. _________________

I'm with ya, bro. For me, rap and metal don't mix. When Anthrax did "I'm the Man", I thought it was great because I looked at it as a goof on the genre and they were just having fun. When they redid it on the Attack of the Killers B's along with "Bring the Noize", I thought "Wow, they are serious about this". I've since gotten over it, but I still can't forgive them for spawning a whole slew of rap/rock bands.
