| I did that BMG deal and I got 2 King Diamond CDs, 2 Mercyful Fate CDs and2 Sepultura CDs. Anyway, I think they messed up, cause I ordered King Diamond - Abigail and ended up getting a kickass package! It has the whole album with 4 bonus tracks and a bonus DVD featuring 7 live songs and then 3 music videos. I thought BMG diden't send their 2 disk CDs free | |

| They do but they charged you 2 selections. The deal is to initially receive 7 discs, but they sent you 6. The extra DVD counts as one of your free selections. |

| I have been a BMG member for over ten years... but I haven't ordered anything from them in probably three or four years now. (Yet they still continue to send the catalog every month, accompanied by a letter that says "Your account hasn't been very active lately!" ... I wonder how long they'll do that before they finally say "screw this guy" and cancel the account altogether, haha) The "12 for a Penny" or whatever it is, isn't a bad deal, but on subsequent shippings they KILL you with Shipping & Handling charges. I think the last time I ordered a CD from them the S&H was something ridiculous like $4.59... | |

| The shipping is $2.79 per unit now. I fulfill my contract every couple months or so and rejoin and start all over again. I've been doing that since about 1992. |

That is about what shipping is when you order any disc on Amazon, so what the heck, might as well. I've done that to with the stopping and starting, when will they catch on?

| These things are only worth it if you never pay, or steal the box from your neighbor. Both of which I did as a teenager. |

I used to do something similar to this. I used my moms name for a new account and got 5 free CD's under my name since I introduced a "friend", then opened one up under my dads name and got 5 free CD's, along the way canceling the old accounts. I think the total cost of 12 CD's combined was something like $70, plus the 5 other cd's for like $14. Man, it was good way to get CD's for less than $3 each, if you don't count the one you had to purchase at regular price. I'm now done doing it for the last 6 months and have canceled my subscribtion. There is not too many albums in their catalog that hold my interest.

| I already own most priest, maiden, and dio. I'm also going to get the new castle sabbath remasters cause i heard they sound better than the warner brothers versions, which are the only ones offered at bmg
So what other bands are worth getting from bmg? I know megadeth remixes are on there, i'll probably get those.

That's one of the main reasons I haven't ordered from BMG in years now, I get their mailing and it sez "Your HARD ROCK/HEAVY METAL SELECTION OF THE MONTH is Fall Out Boy!" and I'm like "Um, no thank you..."

I'm still a member just in case something does show up I want, but usually when it does appear I already have bought it. (Maybe I should just cancel)

However, I cleaned em out... cause im struggling to find bands I really want.

| When I was single and living in my apartment, Columbia House would send offers addressed to the previous tennant. At first, I would just throw them away, but they would still come. Then I tried writing "Return to Sender, No Longer Lives Here" on the envelopes and putting them back in the mail. Still the offers kept coming. Finally I opened up one and ordered my 12 free cd's. A week later, I get my cd's. A few days after that, the bill comes. Again I wrote "No longer lives here, return to sender". Columbia House finally wised up after that and the envelopes stopped coming. Stupid junk mailers. | |

| i checked out the bmg site and, nothing doing for me. They don't have a single thing for Deliverance or any of the stuff I would be looking for. They had some mainstream stuff, like Megadeath, Metallica, anthrax, that sort of thing. | |
