Nice! I started listening to Q 5 on Spotify after hearing that song and already have two of their songs on my metal mp3 player: that one and "Livin' On The Borderline" from When The Mirror Cracks album.

I didn't like this latest Pop Evil as much as the last one; it's too "modern rock" sounding IMO. There's certainly no "Boss' Daughter" on it.

I like them equally.. Far better riffs IMO on Onyx and I think that's the path the band was trying to get at. Each release from these guys they have simplified things to get a *heavier* sound. One of the better "modern rock" bands out there...

Onyx is definitely "riffier" but I think War Of Angels had better, more memorable songs.

I agree it was hookier and Monster You Made is still one of my fav songs. Onyx doesnt hit you right away like War of Angels but after a while the songs rly have that bite to them.
Check out Aranda and Emphatic.. Hookier modern rock bands with a little bite to their songs. Emphatic is catchier IMO, Aranda is the more original sounding of the two with some stellar guitar playing...

My favorite "modern rock" band right now is Charm City Devils. They took a sharp left into "modern" territory with their last one but I still find the songs to be hooky. "Sins" alienated a lot of people who liked "Let's Rock N Roll" but not me, I love both.

I've listened to Sins a few times.. Good album
I'm a huge fan of a lot of modern rock bands.. Egypt Central, Breaking Benjamin, My Darkest Days, Pop Evil, Aranda, Emphatic, Royal Bliss, Thousand Foot Krutch, Black Water Rising, Bobaflex, Adelitas Way, Like a Storm, Burn Halo, Sick Puppies, Shinedown, Lansdowne, etc etc HAHAH!!!
Burn Halo might be closest to Charm City Devils latest release...
Some A7X influnce there as well?
