It's alright, they still look REALLY annoying though!

Bah! Who cares about lyrics. This a great tune! I was actually listening to the samples of the album, and it sounds good. Way too poppy for me at times and I doubt I'd buy it ever, but for a few bucks I might.

Nope....those kids are world class songwriters...

I recently acquired the Tinted Windows cd featuring one of these Hanson boys (the middle one?) and I found it to be quite enjoyable. Cheap Trick inspired pop rock. Although his voice is kinda girly.
That tune posted isn't bad, but I don't know if I could bring myself to purchase a Hanson cd.

That's a pretty decent track.. There are actually a few upbeat almost blues influenced jams on Anthem .

I think they write most of their own material. Regardless of whether you like the music, you have to respect that (especially in the modern pop world!)

I checked that earlier, and it would appear that they do. Out of curiosity, I listen to a bunch of random songs on YouTube. They have some SERIOUS Michael Jackson sounds going on in their music. Never expected that.

They write ALL of their own material, play their own instruments, and sing all those harmonies live...I think they even formed their own label and self-produce these days.
I'm not saying I'm some huge fan and own all their albums, but those 3 dudes are ridiculously talented and are easily one of the best pop-rock bands not on the radio. People thought they were some cheesy kid band when "MMMBop" came out, but even that song is insanely catchy and well constructed...

Honestly, I would put them on my hate list. But what you're saying is very true. My sister had the debut when it was big and I couldn't stand it, but somehow every song leaked into my memory within weeks. So they have my respect. They were/are masters of their craft, impressive for the age.

They even put stuff out on their own before they got signed. I've always respected them for writing, producing, and singing their own stuff. Kinda a shame they got lumped into the boy band pre-packaged pack. They really were more than that.

I have always respected these guys, they are a true talent vs. all those pretty boy bands that know how to hold microphones real well....
That's a good song up there too btw...

Yeah TW is not bad at all. Isn't someone from Cheap Trick actually in it? Or like some other super-guy?
Edit: I just checked Wiki, and yes, I was right, a dude from CT is in the band.

Yeah, that Tinted Windows record is the business!

The above song reminds me of something Jonny Lang would do. He was another former kid artist from back around the same time Hanson came out.
Here's one of his tunes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tigVYfHVmQ

Anyone interested in the pop stylings of Tinted Windows, take a listen here...
That's a pretty good indication of what the whole album sounds like. Upbeat, catchy power-pop.
TW is (was?) a one shot album by an alt-rock supergroup of sorts, featuring a Hanson guy, the Asian guitarist from Smashing Pumpkins, the bass player from Fountains of Wayne and the legendary Bun. E. Carlos on drums.
