I've actually listened to Tempest numerous times over the last few days and it is a very good disc. My only problem is the songs are sometimes too long and not very memorable. Very talented band with some great musical passages throughout. I just like my POWER METAL catchy.....

I also hear a lot of Testament on this album as far as influence goes...

I don't have problems with the songs length. Savatage cured me of that.

Song length isn't a problem if the song keeps me interested. Sometimes on a long album IMO bands should cut some of these 7-8 minute tracks in half and make two killer songs. Tempest has 13 Tracks and 11 of the 13 are around 5 mins with many exceeding the 6 min mark..

It's still a great listen but it's just too long IMO.

Great cd I've had this for sometime. If you like Rising Storm check out Suprema.
