| Another tough call...
I pick the debut. Way too many kickass songs on there, and my personal favorite Black Diamond. The beginning of something great.
Yes, I included Dynasty. I wanted everything from the decade. And I'll do first solo albums in another poll. I promise.

| I would have voted for Alive! but it isn't on the list. That record was so incredibly huge in the 70s, as far as I'm concerned the ultimate Kiss release.

Oh absolutely. This is just between studio releases.

| Tough one for me too..
I think the obvious 'classic' choices here are Destroyer and Love Gun - those are the staple commercial classic KISS albums of the 70s but why go for the conventional...
I think with those 2 albums aside there are still plenty of good choices left:
1. Dressed To Kill 2. Rock n Roll Over 3. Hotter Than Hell 4. Self/Titled 5. Dynasty

Oh absolutely. This is just between studio releases. That's fine, but my only problem with that is Alive and Alive II absolutely destroy all of their studio albums from the 70s. Those Alive records are all I ever need when the occasional Kiss craving strikes. |

| Definitely Destroyer even though it does have the abysmal "Beth" on it. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Gotta go with Hotter Than Hell. They're all really good though and it was a tough choice. But I do gotta say that Love Gun is my least favorite. Its basically Love Gun, Shock Me and a bunch of b-sides. | |

| Destroyer. An important album in my formidable years. I didn't get Alive until quite a bit later due to it being a double album and double the price. My parents didn't buy me music, so it was all up to me and my chores money. They just didn't approve of that "type of music" | |

| Went with the debut. Surprisingly heavy for the time and still holds up pretty well. Love Gun was actually my first Kiss album so I almost went with that as a sentimental favorite, though there are some great tunes on that album. | |

I agree that the studio version of "Beth" is pretty cheesy, but the acoustic version on Unplugged is great. That's how it should have been on the album, IMO.

| The only Kiss studio album I care for is the debut. I just like scattered songs here and there on the rest that I've heard. | |

| I love all those early 70's albums from KISS, I almost went with 'Destroyer' but the first KISS album I bought dirt cheap at the flea market was 'Rock n Roll Over' which I did listen to over and over, and still love it | |

| Destroyer was my first KISS record, before I had any CD's, and I never felt cooler spinning it on my cheap little turntable. Detroit Rock City is just so iconic. And for the record, I think Beth was a wonderful song.
I see no one has picked or discussed Dressed to Kill. That had some damn catchy tunes on it. "LADIES IN WAAAAAITING..." But Rock 'n Roll All Night is dead to me, thank you radio...
