| What are your thoughts on this album? I bought it very recently, and it instantly became a favourite. Cheesy, i know, but very fun and memorable. Plus, Gus G's solos are splendid I even think it's better than Book of Heavy Metal. | |

| I think it's their weakest album. Still a good one though. _________________ | |

| I think Dream Evil is a good band musically, but the tongue in cheek thing wore thin with me pretty quickly. _________________ FINAL SIGN

| This is my favorite from them despite the uber-cheesy lyrics. And I still get a kick out of the way they say "We were chasing the dra-gawn". _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I like it but there are better releases from them, Evilized and The Book Of Heavy Metal, the 2 that followed. | |

| I'm with Shawn, and I also thought this was their best one. Not a fan though. | |

| Have to say I think dragonslayer is Dream Evils best album. Every tune a fist pumping power metal classic with some awesome guitar work from Gus G.
Was into Dream Evil for quite a while, managed to see them live twice and was enjoying them up to the book of heavy metal. After that Gus G left and the albums seemed to sound a bit like they are going through the motions and have run out of ideas. Maybe it's me and I keep buying their albums but after a couple of listens I never go back.
Same with firewind. To me they just sound plain boring these days. I love everything up to and including the premonition but the last two have been very meh!

| Great Band and these guys are one of the more memorable metal bands out there even if the lyrics are what most ppl consider cheese... Gus G shines in this band... I don't like this album any less or any more than the 2 that followed. | |

Once Gus G left Dream Evil, they just seemed kinda boring. And I always thought that about Firewind; they have some really great songs here and there but these days I just find it tedioius to sit down and listen to a Firewind album all the way through. But "Dragonslayer" still "floats my boat"; maybe it's nostalgia or just how familiar I am with the album but I still get into this one. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I'm a cheesaholic myself. Book is great as is the last one, In The Night. Don't have anything else though except Gold Metal In Metal, a live album.

Also a compilation disc of unreleased tracks, b-sides, and japanese bonus tracks. A worthwhile purchase, I think.

| I only have Evilized, United, and the Children Of The Night single, which I really dig, but I've never thought they were cheesy in any regard. Considering how many of you do think the lyrics are cheesy just shows again that I really don't pay attention to lyrics these days. Haha.
