I have been into these guys since high school. IMHO, they have not written a bad song. I love the blend of proggy and punk that The Call has put together in a way that I have personally have never heard since.
The lyrics are pretty deep but they have songs that are just plain fun to listen to as well. The band as a whole are brilliant musicians as well.
I have not seen anything about these guys on here so I am wondering...

Major fan! I've got them all plus Michael Been's solo stuff (RIP).
My favorite is Reconciled:

The term under-rated gets thrown around a lot, but The Call are the very definition of it. Let The Day Begin for a myriad of reasons will always retain a special place for me. But all of their stuff is great. Someday I need to look into Been's solo efforts.

I completely agree. I don't even remember any music videos making a splash back in the day.

Personally, I don't think his solo stuff is as good as The Call but there are definitely some good tunes there.

One of those bands that hit when in the right mood. Reconciled and Into the Woods are my faves. Let the Day Begin was kind of U2ish which isn't bad then Red Moon seemed to find them in a new place but a very nice listen. I saw them in concert at one of those small places that hold maybe 5-600 people and they owned it.

My U.S. History teacher in high-school is the one that turned me onto these guys and he said that hands-down, The Call are one of the greatest live acts that he has ever seen.
Red Moon is kind of "out-there" for me, but still a good one. I don't think that have released a bad album.

You realize that last sentence should be past tense, right?

I was never really exposed to them growing up (I new of their existence, but never heard them); however, I recently found out that the song "I Still Believe" performed in The Lost Boys movie was a cover of The Call....I may have to give them a listen. Love that song.
