I like what I've heard, but I'm in no immediate rush to get it. If I find it cheap, I'll grab it.

I'm with MG though Kiss of Death with Ripper and Alone Again with Bach are very cool.

Listening to it, I much prefer the originals over the remakes. Reminds me a lot of the Lynch/Pilson Wicked Underground album from the early 2000's, which I really enjoy. In fact, I have no idea why they just didn't name this band Lynch/Pilson other than the obvious marketing advantages. Jeff Pilson is a fantastic musician, despite his chosen instrument.

I think Pilson got buried in Dokken and has been branching out since they aren't his full time gig.

Pilson hasn't been a member of Dokken since the early '00s. I think the last Dokken album he played on was Erase the Slate in '99.

Pilson's been with Foreigner for the past decade or so.

That's what I mean, I saw him with Foreigner and he was more up front with them. Even played guitar on a song.

Yes, the DOKKEN originals are far better than these remakes.
I used to be his biggest fan but I am so sick of Ripper Owens now.

Why? He seems quiet lately?

Too much over-exposure maybe? It's become the running joke that he'll sing for anyone, anytime, anywhere. He's gotta make money, so I get it. But I wouldn't mind seeing him settle into a steady band and concentrate on one solid project. He's saturating the market with his talents and therefore watering down the value, so to speak.
Just one ass-hat's theory anyway.

Could be, but in this day of singers being guns for hire he's not that unusual. I would like more Beyond Fear though.

He was also involved with the production on that album. I watched one of their recording sessions for that album at the studio in Redondo Beach they shared with Great White. That day was mainly just Don doing some vocals and Jeff working behind the console.
