Mother Love Bone-Apple- yes they released an EP but this was their only full length album that combined the late Andrew Wood's love of Freddie Mercury/Queen and T. Rex, with the future Pearl Jammers combo of classic rock and alternative rock stylings. An excellent album that served as Wood's epitaph. One of my favorite albums of all time.

In a related note, another Temple of the Dog album would have been nice too. Both great albums.

Excellent choice, Classic Rock Magazine had an article on one and done artist, some bands they mentioned, such as the Sea Hags, I only heard the name but never their music.

OK I am going to include The Sex Pistols- Never Mind the Bollocks- A game changer, but forget all that historic crap and their place in rock histor, forget the story of Sid and Nancy, what matters is this album features kick ass tunes from a band of yobs and clever lyrics from a certain Johnny Rotten. It still sounds good all these decades later.

The more I think about it, since Temple of the Dog was put together as a tribute to Andrew Wood, maybe it was best to leave it alone after one. But in theory, another album would have been nice.

Good point. The Sex Pistols' meager output (live concerts, singles, etc.) has been repackaged and re-re-packaged so many times in so many different formats and raped more often than a drunk hippo at a frat party, to the point where people sometimes forget they only made ONE official album.

After they won the rights back to their own name, which took them and Sid Vicious estate almost 20 years to win back ( and the was the real reason they reformed in 1997, to have legimate claims to the name), they repackaged alot of those live discs and released them in a boxset, a few other releases, differences is, now they have complete control over the music, name, images.

Another fantastic album!
They did technically release a 2nd album well past their brief hey-day, but it's more of a comp of leftover tracks and some demo-quality material. It's called Some Other Place, Some Other Time. It's an ok album if you can find it cheap enough. I think Eyesore recently picked it up from CD Baby's $5 cut-out bin.

The more you know. Of course, it's hard trying to find information on a band named Flame. Not only is it a very common word (especially in hard rock circles), but there is no shortage of artists/bands called Flame (or the THE Flame).

I definitely understand that, man, about trying to research bands with vague/generic names.
One indispensable resource, when it comes to AOR/glam/sleaze/whatever, is:
http://heavyharmonies.com/
That site has helped me sort through so much, relating to that genre. And when I first discovered Flame on mix, I'm pretty sure that site was where I was eventually able to figure out albums they had, etc.

Love Affair - S/T
This thing was a major staple during my college years but as far as I know this was the only album the Cleveland band released:
Man, there was a lot of great music coming out of Ohio back then: Love Affair, Michael Stanley Band, Breathless...etc.

Couldn't find it at the above mentioned site but I'm pretty sure they had no other album:
Heaven's Fire-The Outside:
Pissed off as that is the only song on Youtube I could find and that is not one of the stronger tracks. There used to be a few others but for some reason they are no longer there.

Bad Biscut - The American Dream? (1994)
Not quite a "one and done" cuz these guys did eventually release a "lost" second album (Shag Abbey) and an odds-and-sods comp (We Still Believe the Hype) but both of those came out long after the band had split up.
