The vinyl collecting thread...

I put in a very low ball bid for this and then kind of forgot about it. Was amazed but delighted to pick it up for £7 in any condition let alone excellent.

My one and only christian metal album!

Thanks to GUEST I mean S.D. (😁) I scored the recent remasters of Opeth's Deliverance and Damnation on vinyl.

Notice the black streak on this. It isn't dirt, it is in the vinyl. Anyone else's look like this? I think it is kind of cool. What I was thinking was that maybe this is one of the first orange pressing so some stray black vinyl got mixed in. Who knows, but I like to think that! Curious if anyone else's has it, the back has some in a different area.

Picked up the bootleg of Fleshcrawl's Descend Into The Absurd from Hells Headbangers. Really nice on clear vinyl and even has an insert. Wish there was an official release though.

It happens fairly often.

Not looking to replace, I thought it looked kind of cool on side B.  I asked Bill about it and he said most of them have some black on them. Sounds really good tho, glad to have it on vinyl.

Mine has the same black streak as well.

Yes, there are some black streaks in the orange vinyl on the Recon albums. Obviously a sloppy job by the manufacturer. The same factory that gave Ultimatum the pink swirl vinyl and claimed it was blood-splatter vinyl. Roxx tried a different company this time around. They are a bigger, more well known and respected factory, but they didn't give Roxx very good service and the end product wasn't what they expected. Needless to say, they won't be using RAINBO RECORDS anymore.
