It's a great album and should have been HUGE! I also recommend their first EP and their follow-up "Sloppy Seconds". _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

........and YES! The MAD Ep ROCKS. This is the style that Stay Hard and The Pack is Back should have been in! I found the TT Quick quite enjoyable.

| Picked up Styx Equinox on 180 gram vinyl in the mall. The A&M albums were released on Friday, since I own decent copies of the rest Equinox was the only one I needed. I can say I am not impressed at all, at least with the packaging. Everything looks like an original release and even the inner sleeve is paper. I was hoping for at least a poly-lined inner sleeve. The vinyl itself was covered in fingerprints and debris. I almost returned it but decided to wash it first and that seemed to do the trick. Played "Midnight Ride" because a saw an imperfection "speck" on the vinyl and it did not skip so I assume it will be OK. Will give it a full listen tonight. | |

The pinnacle of that version of the band. Excellent album! Playing Side 1 right now. Sounds really good but I am not sure if is a remaster. As I said it was the only vinyl from A&M I was missing. I still need the Wooden Nickel albums. Maybe UMe will eventually get those reissued. Just flipped to Side 2. Midnight Ride kicks!

| Daniel Hecht – Willow (A Windham Hill acoustic guitar release) The Edge with Michael Brook – Captive (excellent atmospheric soundtrack. The Edge should have done a proper solo album of this kind of material) Balaam and The Angel - The Greatest Story Ever Told Dave Brubeck Trio - Dave Brubeck Trio Featuring Cal Tjader Mercyful Fate – Melissa (2014 reissue) Saxon - The Eagle Has Landed: Live (Finally) Motörhead - No Remorse (I found the three metal albums all at the same place!
