Steppenwolf was one of the first bands I ever remember hearing. There was an old 45 of Jupiter's Child and the album "Monster" at my Grandmother's house (they belonged to my Uncle who left them when he went to college) and I made her play them for me over and over.

Aside from hearing them on the radio I haven't listened to Steppenwolf in many years, but I'll always have a nostalgic place for them.

I have a bunch of Steppenwolf on vinyl. Real solid records that get frequent spins. And yeah that live record is great. And I'm not even a live album type. I always think I need to get their stuff on disc, but then it hits me that they are one of those bands I like breaking out the vinyl for. Something about digging out their records puts me in the proper mood for enjoying it.

Love this band,sucks that Dunhill has the rights to most of their early material and they won't give them a descent reissue.
