Anybody a fan of this band? A friend recently turned me on to them. Definitely love the vibe they have going on, especially the nods to Zeppelin.

Yeah, they are pretty cool. I noticed nods to The Small Faces and Bad Company as well.

The latest release definitely has some good 60's feel to it. There are a few songs on it that took me a while to get into.
I can also hear some Hendrix and Beatles on their first release.

I like them allot. I got turned onto them from a sample ep that was included in Classic Rock magazine. I still need to pick up their latest, but from what I can tell, it hasn't been released in the States yet. All I can find on-line is pricey imports.

I don't do the Spotify thing. I'm sure I'll pick up a copy soon enough. I really dig their last album.

I'm always on the look-out for their stuff. I get the Amoeba records publications and their staff picks always mention these guys. I figured they were an alternative band (band name sounds like alt-rock to me) but they kept getting praised from all corners so I finally checked out some samples. Good stuff to my ears.

They are closer to "FREE" stylistically than Bad Company, at least that's the Paul Rodgers influence that jumps out at me. There's also a bit of that T-Rex swagger...and of course Zeppelin.

This is the kind of band I think would be great fun to see live. Since they are a local act hopefully I'll get a chance to see them in a club sometime in the future.

I saw them a year ago. And it was nothing short of breathtaking. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Sadly, the audience didn't perceive this similarly - in terms of atmosphere, the gig was rather lame. But musically, it was awesome!

Listening to their latest "Great Western Valkyrie" on Spotify. Sounds pretty good. Anyone else listen to this?

I haven't picked it up yet, just holding out to find it for a decent price. I have however been listening to their last 2 albums in anticipation of this new one. I'll get it eventually. Hopefully sooner than later.

I have Pressure and Time but it's a little TOO retro for me. The samples of this new one sound a little fresher.

I got turned on to them the same way MG did here, thanks to free EP in Classic Rock Magazine. Very cool throw back, retro sound to the band

Bump...
Anyone check out their latest yet, Hollow Bones? First impressions are pretty good in the sense of "if you liked the last album, you'll probably dig this too".
And sticking to their retro-roots, they do a nice cover of Humble Pie's 'Black Coffee' too...
