| I just traded Holy Mountain through lala the other day. I love doom, I love stoner, but could never dig on Sleep for some reason. Just didn't click. |

| I think a lot of stoner doom is somewhat interchangable; I guess we all have our favorites. Sleep has never been one of mine, but I do like other bands that do pretty much the same thing. | |

| I love Sleep. Holy Mountain has gotta be one of my favorite doom albums I model alot of my own doom metal songs off Sleep their heaviness is just awesome Although its too bad the band can't work out their diffrences a reunion tour would be awesome. But of course I wouldn't want Matt Pike to stop with High On Fire | |

| Holy Mountain is a great album. I do like Jerusalem, but I have to really be in the mood to listen to that one. I guess due to the length of the album that sometimes it's a chore for me to listen to. | |

| I remember buying Sleep's Holy Mountain back in 1993 when it came out...and I HATED it. Heard it again around 2003...liked it a little better but still didn't click. Then I got turned onto High On Fire and was really digging Matt Pike, so I decided to try ONE MORE TIME...and for whatever reason it FINALLY hit me. I can't say that I'm overly fond of the vocals, but they sure captured that great "garage band" vibe. The riffs are great and Matt Pike is a damn guitar demon. Dopesmoker is a little bit of a chore (the vocals bothering me again) but it's got it's moments. |
