with their soft defense?

The D' was a disappointment last year. They were very opportunistic causing a lot of turnouvers, but they had trouble stopping teams. The pass rush will be improved this year and plus they picked a horrible time to play a bad game last year. (Against the Giants of course)

They'll score alot of points. Cam, Smitty, Olsen, & Deangelo will have Pro Bowl years. But they'll lose a lot of shoot-outs, again. They still have no D. Despite a good LB corps, they have CFL-caliber talent on the line & secondary. Not to mention a sorry kicker. Tampa is down, that's a given. Nawlins may not be the dumpster fire some are saying, & the Falcons are still going to be a tough out, twice!

The shoot out's will be tough...but I predict a 10-6 record.

Quote :

They should. I think Denver will face a stern test in the Steelers. The line is going to have to be better to protect Manning as they got kind of used to Tebow being able to escape with his speed.

You forget that The Colts line is terrible but that didn't matter because Manning releases the ball very quickly. Manning doesn't need a good line at all to be fantastic, he just needs to not have his head fall off

True, but the Colts had a system with a lot of practice to get to that point. Denver has average receivers at best. It will be interesting to see how it works out.

G-men will hopefully beat the Niners and Packers again in the playoffs so that we can hear Clay Matthews crying how the Giants didn't win it...they beat themselves. The Official, Goodall approved, NFL 2012 Season Thread - Page 2 499945

The Giants are so unpredictable. They beat the teams you don't think they will beat and they struggle with the teams they should handle easily.

I'm still amazed they put it together to win it all last year (much to my chagrin) cuz they beat my Pack.

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow miss the playoffs this year.

especially because no one wanted to win the NFC East last year.

It's been tough being a Browns fan since they came back in 1999. Only 2 winning seasons and one playoff appearance. Now we have a new owner and a crop of young talent...so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I hope Bradon Weeden is the guy at quarterback. He will our 17th different starting QB since the Browns came back...and yes that's right 17.

No, but I saw the video highlights! TD, no INT, not TD...... It was clearly an INT - the replacement refs gave the game away! Hopefully they can get the real refs back, while they make bad calls (at a lower percent than the replacements) they don't blow the outcome of a game.

This may finally push a deal through - but not because of the blown call, but because of the huge money shift in Vegas that was bet on the outcome.

This is becoming a bad joke, taking 5 minutes to spot the ball, getting game changing calls wrong. C'mon billionaire owners, pony up the dough for real refs.

You know....I don't mean to sound like this, but so be it.

You are an idiot. So you pull out a similiar play to make your case and think that makes sense. No sir.

The Seahawks were given 3 chances, first on that interception that was nullified bc of the horrible roughing the passer call, second on that awful pass interference call when it was 1st and 30 for the Hawks, and finally the one that cost them the game. Everyone knows that was an interception and it was much more clear than the play your referencing.

The normal refs make mistakes too, but c'mon this is ridiculous.

Oh, and let's not forget the most blatant push off Golden Tate did on that play too.

I think what annoys me more than the blown calls is that every other play seems to require a ref conference. Damn games are taking 30 minutes longer than usual and it not only makes it drag from an entertainment point of view but it also totally disrupts any momemtum the teams might develop.

On the subject of this season, Alas, I cannot tell a lie. As much as I love my Pats, I want to see Andy Dalton and Matt Schaub and their crews do really well. I hope the Pats take it all but if they don't, then let's raise our glasses to the underdog.

Christian Ponder is showing some gleams of quality also, but his offensive line SUCKS! Tho... they did beat the 49'ers and their schizophrenic coach.

Like all of Harbaugh's extra challenges that the Ref's acknowledged (even though he was out of calls)?

Where did i say it was right? It's funny.

How about Woodson's mugging on the Seahawks 3 plays before that? Or the PI that lead to the Packers last td? How about the other 10 crappy calls in that game. How about babbling on and on about Jim Harbaugh getting 5 timeouts against the Vikings in one half Sunday? They're not crying about that. This is media hype and spin ebcause it was Monday night, The Pack were playing and they have fake refs. It's just another crappy call. The other refs aren't better, they're just less worse.

I've been watching the packers get calls for years. Now their fans want to protest and boycott and talk about the integrity of the game. Nobody talked about integrity of the game when in 2002 the refs miss 9 calls and 8 in the 4th quarter in a Vikes packers game in lamblow. The next day the NFL sent a letter to the team saying sorry and sent the refs packing. 8 wrong calls against the Vikings in one 4th quarter. Where was the integrity $hit then?

So before you go running off at the mouth, and calling names, know where a person is coming from before you run your trap, Buttdart.

I apologize for calling you an idiot. I became a little emotional and I am sorry for that.

Say what you want, but at the end of the day, The Pack should have won the game. They dominated the second half and deserved to win. And I'm sorry, but if this happened to your team, you would be saying the same thing and do not pretend you wouldn't be. I know the Vikings hate the Pack and vice versa, but c'mon you know it's crap.

And you can keep bringing up games from 2002 of saying the Pack gets this and that and the other, but in the end two wrongs do not make a right and they were screwed.

Again, I'm sorry for the name calling. Oh, and it's not funny.
