BTW, the record in STL for consecutive days over 90 is 28. We're at 21 now and the long-range forecast shows no signs of going under 90.

Another hot and humid day with thunderstorms later today

We had a thunderstorm yesterday and then it rained buckets for about 10 minutes. It was crazy, not what we usually get in the NW. Pretty awesome to see though.

It's hot out again today.

Another hot one. Sunny and in the mid 90's.

106 right now. And humid. This summer has royally sucked.

And humid. 7 degrees is a big difference. Try sitting in a room that's 80 degrees then sit in one that's 73.

EDIT: Plus your math is off; you're 8 degrees cooler than we are so go sit in a 72 degree room after that 80.

whatever. We are no strangers to humidity here in the mid-atlantic region. The other day you were at 103 and we were at 100 with comparable humidity levels. Its hot - thats all that really matters.

But we've had 22 straight days of this crap and are on track to break the all-time record of 28 days.

And we've had 43 days of 90+ temps so far this year. That's just way beyond normal here.

true. That is a long time. The doesnt bother me much regardless. I was out playing ball when it was 98.

It's a major agricultural issue here because in addition to the heat, we haven't had a decent rainfall in months. Because I have an inground sprinkler system, I'm the only one in the subdivision with a green lawn. But I'd hate to multiply what it costs me for my little 1/4 acre by the money it must cost farmers to irrigate their crops and feed their cattle. Trust me, we'll all see the results of this weather at the grocery store in the fall.

After some nasty storms yesterday, today is in the 80s with low humidity

Another day, another 100+ temp.

My area of MO is now officially classified as in "severe drought".
