Malevolent Creation/Doomsday X

I just got their cd today and it's all good but one thing... I can't stand the snare drum sound. It's really dull or muffled sounding, it just doesn't have the same great production like Envenomed. The cover art is pretty cool too.

just got it too, really dug the album.
have to agree with the snare sound though . . .

at least it's not as bad as the St.Anger Snare sound

i'm glad that Brett Hoffmann is back. his vocals really make that band top notch.

Which other MC releases was he on? My favorite is Eternal.

He wasn't on Eternal. I think Jason the bass player did the vocals for that one. Hoffmann was on almost all of the albums exept the two before this new one and Eternal. He has charisma kinda like Tom Araya IMO.

The Ten Commandments, Retribution, Stillborn, The Fine Art Of Murder, & Envenomed.

My fave album is RETRIBUTION(i even have a t-shirt from that album) but i didnt listen to anything new by this band in years. Do they play different now then lets say 10 years ago??? I think i should check out some new MALEVOLENT CREATION.

if you liked early Malevolent Creation, you will still like them. they don't sound much different, no matter who is singing. my two favorites are Retribution & Envenomed.

the new one is fantastic as well!

Those are my two favorite's as well. But i actually like the Envenomed reissue better for the bonus tracks.
