Subject: I Am I - new band of Dragonforce's ZP Theart Mon Jul 16, 2012 3:35 am
I was interested to see what ZP Theart would do after leaving Dragonforce as the band's flaws weren't really with the vocals. It's a bit of a change of pace from Dragonforce, but I quite like this.

Not bad. Modern melodic power metal. Very Helloween-ish I think.

It doesn't come as a regular cd (at least not yet). It comes as a flash drive inside a cd case or something.

I had a gift card to iTunes and I used part of it to purchase Even Horizon based on the samples (and ZP's vocals and melodies were my favorite part of Dragonforce). I've finally gotten around to listening to it and I'm digging it.
Anybody ever get this and/or know any updates with these guys?

I have the album on CD. I like it a lot. The band is still active playing live, and just released a new single. Let`s hope there is an album coming soon.

I'm surprised by how much I liked Event Horizon on the first listen. There are plenty of outstanding tracks. It reminds me slightly of Helloween or Edguy, not because it necessarily sounds like either of those, but because it excels at having enough variety and memorability.

from what I've heard, but I think his voice does do better in this than in DF.
