Geoff Tate & Friends - OPERATION: MINDCRIME II
Fixed it for ya
Would "friends" be the right word? More like "Geoff Tate and the Emotionally Abused Yes-Men."
Yep, because the rest of the band didn't play on the album - it was all session musicians!!!! Geoff Tate locked the band out of the studio and had hired guns do the parts.............
How did the album hold up?
Meh. Sounds OK while it's playing but as soon as it's over you can't remember a damn thing about it. It's like wallpaper.
So anyways, thus far today: Tesla - MECHANICAL RESONANCE Ramones - ACID EATERS KISS - ASYLUM

How you like that Hardline?
its very good. My biggest complaint is it seems to be a bit too polished.

Yeah, you might be right there but then again, so much of MHR/AOR is. Though, I think it's not as bad as it was during late 80s/early90s (modern production may have something to do with that though) which is probably why the majority of my favorite stuff in that genre is post 2000.

true but i think using protools and such has made music too clean.

I like but it but I was expecting it to be better than Anthems. Its pretty on-par with the first one.
