I've been listening to music as long as I can remember, over 35 years. In that time I've been fortunate enough to find many different styles of music I enjoy, metal definitely being one of the primary ones.

But I'm also just as passionate about progressive rock, classic rock, fusion and jazz. In addition to those styles, I also occasionally listen to classical, folk, blues, soul, funk, reggae, punk, film scores, etc.

I try to vary up my listening and not concentrate too heavily on one particular thing.

The downside to liking so many styles of music is that it requires me to be very picky since I have less time to devote to each. It's cool though, I know exactly what I like and I don't bother with what I don't.

I still definitely love metal, though.

Despite you hating the bulk of the music I love, I admire that in you (and ToB, AoB, etc.). I wish I could be more picky, but my ears are less descerning than yours and I like so much that my wantlist (if were to ever make one) would probably circumnavigate the globe .

I think it's an age thing. I'm starting to get more and more picky with age, and seem to like less and less new stuff.

I still listen to it though, but you can't make me like it!!!!!!!
