Ult, how about Jefferson Starship? I think you'd like them, seeing you like bands such as Journey, Boston, Styx and Foreigner... Maybe also Airplane, but I don't know if that's your thing (although you obviously dig some psychedelia).
Oh come on, Jefferson Airplane was an awesome Psychedelic band in the same style of early Pink floyd or anything that rocked the early Progressive Rock years. While Jefferson Starship was a weak "re-boot" and Starship was mostly pop (though i don't know why We built this city gets called the worst rock song of all time whe there's slipknot limp bizkit, \"thebandthatshallneverbementionedagain\", linkin park and nickelback out there producing crap that make "we built this city" look like "chid in time" Jefferson Airplane is awesome thought, they have so much more than just Somebody to love. Really worth checking out.

Yeah, Airplane's great, but Jefferson Starship is a great hard rock/AOR band in their own right that would probably have a better reputation were they not related to Airplane, and seeing there's not much psychedelia on ult's site, but there's a fair amount of arena rock bands of the '70s and early '80s, that's why I brought them up. Also, Craig Chaquico is an awesome and really underrated guitarist.

Jefferson Airplane I enjoy from time to time, I hate AOR so I'm not the least bit interested in Jefferson Starship.

I don't have any of those, but I'm not against reviewing them either, so may be someday.

The sound of Spiritual Beggars changed significantly when J.B. joined on vocals. The first 4 albums are Kyuss-influenced stoner rock, once J.B. joined the sound changed to more of a Deep Purple type vibe.

They changed though i think all the hammond added a lot to their sound. I really like the Demons album, Dying every Day, Born to Day, great songs. Their first four albums may remain as their best though. Return to Zero was a bit disappointing in my oppinion. Anyway, a band that needed to be checked out and get more attention

As I'm finally catching up on all their releases, I'd have to agree that their latter day stuff has more of a Deep Purple vibe to it, thanks to the hammond organ. I tend to drift towards the older material myself, but the newer stuff is pretty decent too.
You should definately check them out when you have the means, Ult.

I think I prefer the later albums. There are other bands I like more on the stoner side of the equation (Kyuss, Goatsnake)...but there aren't NEARLY enough bands sporting a Hammond Organ at this point, so I gravitate in that direction with Spiritual Beggars.
The organist is Per Wiberg who also played with Opeth from 2004-2011, he left Opeth after the recording for Heritage was completed.

I'm a big fan of Kyuss and Goatsnake. I only have the first Spiritual Beggars album. I need to get the "Mantra" album posted above.

Spice was in another group, the Mushroom River Band. If you like Spiritual Beggars, you might like these guys too. Same style, more or less.

Ult, have you thought of adding some new stuff you don't usually add in the monthly updates? Like, say, the most hated albums in your collection...Or maybe some pics of your collection. Also, are all covers on the site scans of the ones from the same albums you own, or only the signed ones? Oh, and you also have some reviews in the wrong order - the ones for Triumph's Surveillance and The Sport of Kings, to be precise. Maybe some others as well, but I can't think of any right now.

Thanks for the Triumph catch. I'll get that fixed. If you see any more of those, please let me know. I'm always in need of people to help proofread, etc.
I've posted pics of my collection here, but at the moment I am in the process of boxing my collection. A water pipe burst in our house and I have to get all my CDs out of the room so that the carpeting can be replaced and the wall repainted. It's going to be quite a task. Haha!
Most hated albums? Guardian - Bottle Rocket comes to mind. Haha! I don't know, I really like to promote music, not tear it down. I usually don't hold onto albums I hate unless it's something like the Guardian where I have the rest of their catalog.

Could you please link those posts where you posted the pics? Well yeah, I know you usually don't add the stuff you hate, but obviously, there are all those lame attempts at post-grunge/nu metal/alternative/modern rock/whatever a lot of good old bands tried in the past 15 years or so. Or the slick, commercial stuff such as Hysteria or Raised on Radio (which I personally still like). Speaking of slick commercial '80s radio rock, how come you kept that Blue Tears album? You said you didn't like it in the review, and it pretty much sounds like a cross between '80s Bon Jovi and Hysteria era Leppard, both of which you seem to really dislike.
