2011 CD Hauls

It's that time of year again, folks... if you're one of those anal compulsives like me who keeps a list of all the CDs you've acquired over the past year, post 'em here and show off what you got!!

2011 was, once again, a pretty "meh" year for CD collecting for me. Not so much due to a lack of quality stuff, but due to a lack of time/disposable income to buy CDs with. I acquired most of the CDs I picked up this year by scoring back-catalog stuff via trades, flea marketing, and thrift shopping.

I started off the year pretty strong cuz the F.Y.E. near my office was closing up shop so I picked quite a few ticks off of their dying carcass, then things dipped for quite a while aside from a few trades here 'n' there till the last few months of the year..

As I said in the "top of 2011" thread, hopefully Publishers Clearing House will come thru with that "Million Dollars a Year For Life" prize I'm waiting for in 2012 so I can get caught up on all the stuff I missed.

This thread should really be named 'The cds that Ken took out of world circulation in 2011'

Here is my list. I acquired 446 cds this year, up from the 333 I acquired last year and more than the 356 from 2009. I was trying very hard to stay in the same range as 2010 it didnt happen. I loved 2011 - i got into a lot of new bands, both old and new. Thanks to all who gave suggestions along the way.

Hendrix and Beck are both holdovers from listeneing to my dad's old records when I was a kid. I still have my dad's original vinyl copy of Are You Experienced? framed and hanging on the wall in my basement, along with a coupla Beatles albums.

Blue Cheer was kinda an impulse buy. I'm love me some good fuzzed-out stoner rock, so I thought I'd take a listen from where it all began. Groovy man.
