| I've been developing a taste for these thrash monsters more and more lately.
So far, i own M16, Code Red, Agent Orange and In War and Pieces.
Any additional recommendations??

| I second that
Better Off Dead - which is a more rockier (though at times thrashier still) version of Agent Orange.
Tapping the Vein is Sodom trying out some death metal - albeit not quite as tight sounding as any of the DM acts of the day but still good.
Otherwise
There are 3 other albums sandwiched in between their thrash eras which are so so ... I'd get those once you have everything else by Sodom.

| Pick up Persecution Mania. Otherwise, you pretty much have it covered with your list in the OP.
Although not required, Better Off Dead is a decent album, their cover of Thin Lizzy' "Cold Sweat" is worth it alone. You could also check out their debut album, "Obsessed By Cruelty" too. It's a terrible but influential record that is regarded as a very early work of black metal, and its lyrical themes and album cover also had a huge influence on death metal.
If you're digging Sodom, check out the other Teutonic thrash bands Kreator and Destruction.

| Don't forget the 2006 self-titled album. If you like M-16 and Code Red, you'll like it as well.
Tapping the Vein is great! Some thrash purists don't like it as much because songs like "The Saw is the Law" are a bit more groove based, but frankly, that song rules! In fact it's one of the signature songs! _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Since this is my favorite thrash band ever, I can recommend more!
In the Sign of Evil and the re-recording The Final Sign of Evil are both great!! Its very raw, but you can see how they came to be what they are!
The self titled album is genius as well. Great production and just straight up bitchen songs!!
Obsessed By Cruelty is also very cool!
One Night In Bangkok is a live album they recorded in Thailand. One of my favorite live albums ever.

| I'm honestly very fond of In the Sign of Evil and Obsessed By Cruelty in spite of the amateur musicianship, I like them even better than the albums w/ Frank Blackfire. Nevertheless, Persecution Mania is worth adding to your collection as well. | |

| Along with the other recommendations, two of the ones I think don't get enough love are Masquerade In Blood and Till Death Do Us Unite (which is probably my favorite).
And make sure once you get all the albums to check out the DVDs Lords of Depravity.

I thought M-16 and Code Red were much better written, more aggressive but also tigther sounding. The self-titled felt a little uninspired to me in that regard and as a result I consider it the weakest of Sodom's current return-to-form era. 2. I bought the self-titled at the same time as Celtic Frost's Monotheist and I was far more drawn to the latter which I think is a masterpiece... it kinda made Sodom's self-titled drop off the radar for me right away.

| AGENT ORANGE and PERSECUTION MANIA are two of the best german thrash metal albums around. OBSESSED BY CRUELITY, IN THE SIGN OF EVIL and the old demos are a lot more primative and raw, and they are my fave. In my opinion they never did a bad album and they stayed true to thrash metal fans, not like DESTRUCTION or KREATOR that sold their ass in the past more then ones. | |

| Better Off Dead - A Love it / Hate it Album... but I think it's excellent
Get What You Deserve - A rather forgetful Punk Metal Album
S / T - an OK record, but still no where near the 'Better Off Dead' caliber
Tapping In The Vein - Raw Chaotic Thrash, Less Refined compared to 'Agent Orange'
Code Red - ^^^ above
The Final Sign Of Evil - Don't even think of buying this crap

| The Final Sign Of Evil is decent.
I liked Sodom from the early stuff, but when Agent Orange came out I was angry, they wimped out and changed, sounding like a Bay Area band ! I wanted another Persecution Mania!
Glad they stuck to sounding heavy despite that one LP.

Check out "Persecution Mania". It's my favorite. A step up in production from ITSOE but just as raw.

| Found a very good condition used copy of the Agent Orange double disc reissue cd from SPV records. The sound is excellent, but I can hear popping noises like it was directly ripped from a vinyl record. It doesn’t really bother me because it sounds great! The credits don’t indicate a remaster or an actual vinyl transfer. | |
