I'm listening to "True As Steel" right now for the first time. I think that I like both "Burning the Witches" and "Hellbound" a little more, but I want to give this a second spin before I decide. Warlock was always one of those bands that I wanted to give a proper listen to. It's always an interesting experience when one overlooked certain bands back in the day. I've enjoyed what I've heard so far. I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up owning all four albums by the band over the next few months.

Burning the Witches for me although I'll always have a soft spot for Hellbound as that was my intro to the band.

I only have True as Steel and Triumph & Agony. Out of those, I'll take Triumph & Agony, but it's close. Especially Mr. Gold is a cool track off of True as Steel.

I only purchased the first 3 Warlock albums in the last year or so. The songs pop-up individually when I'm shuffling music in my car, but I haven't played the albums straight through enough time to pick out a favorite.

Toss up for me between BURNING THE WITCHES and TRIUMPH AND AGONY. I dig all the Warlock stuff, tho, truthfully.
I know I already responded to this thread dog years ago, but I couldn't seem to decide way back when.
However, I just listened to Burning the Witches this past week and now I'd say it gets my vote. I still dig Triumph... but I listen to Burning more often nowadays.
Random observation, Doro's accent on Burning the Witches was so cute. On the title track it sounds like she's singing "Bear-ning the wheat-chess!"

I picked up the other two on CD this week. Been playing Burning the Witches so far and it's incredible. Music is raw, brilliant early/mid 80's pure heavy metal, quite aggressive, and the guitar tone is sweet. And Doro sounds awesome!
This might be my favourite now, I don't know. Maybe not, because there's a couple of clunkers (slower songs), and they perfect the art of the ballad only later.
But damn it's good! Much better than I expected looking at that hideous cover art.
I will spin Hellbound this weekend too.
Damn, were Warlock good or what?

Man, they had some steam kicking off with "T-n-A" and some phallic domed record executive thought it was a good idea to kick a band that was coming into their own to the curb and push an image. Then Gene $immons enters the picture and it goes to SHIT (0 to 60) faster than the speed of light.
The debut & "Triumph & Agony" are neck and neck for me. The more melodic stuff on "T-n-A' seems to suit Doro's voice better <---(IMHDO)---> She was more than just a pretty face back then, too bad the powers that be chose that route to go down.

Never heard anything by this band except for one song, All We Are, and that was about 20 years ago. I remember it being a pretty good song
I picked up a Warlock tribute CD from discogs called Tribute to Steel. Bands performing are not major acts, save maybe for Sabaton, but I couldn't pass up on this after being on a Warlock binge lately.
I see that I couldn't make up my mind 4 years ago. I'll go with "Hellbound."

I only currently own Triumph and Agony. I got it in the mail yesterday, oddly enough.
