Any other fans here? I've loved every release by them so far and cant wait for the new one. Anyone else enjoy them? I think their style appeals to a very large variety of people.

Musically it's fine........but I HATE the vocals. I mean, REALLY hate them.

Their an aquired taste. I for one have always loved the vocals of ICS Vortex (although I wasn't ever a huge fan of Garm) You might prefer his solo stuff, vocals are less...weird.

This! I only have Sideshow Symphonies, but I used to have Aspera Hiems Symfonia and remember really loving the atmostphere of the music (for some reason, I felt the harsh vocals fit the music real well).

The Sham Mirrors is a great album. Saw them live a few years ago, enthralling experience.
Check out Green Carnation too if you dig the avant-garde stuff.

Ah ha! Say what you will La Masquerade Infernale is a brilliantly devilish rock opera. And is the album that got me into Black Metal (though even if it was lame I'd keep it for the album art alone).
And Aspera Hiems Symfonia is a great (and less odd) black metal album. The stuff after those, though, has got a bit to odd for me.
