| Alright guys,
Well about time I introduced to you guys my band, Nephwrack. We play a slightly proggy traditional metal although we don't sound dated at all! There are some tinges of thrash and sometimes even hard rock, but the root of our sound is pure heavy metal.
Scott Waters of Ultimatum has listened to us and it seems we have gained a new fan! Totally cool as the cd's are now being printed and he's agreed to give us a review on his awesome site www.nolifetilmetal.com.
Our new album is called "Sectariana" and it consists of 8 awesome tracks written from the bottom of the heart. We've been around for a few years and we're fairly known in the south of England, where we are from. We've played with bands like Evile, Wolf or Firewind to name a few...
For those of you who have Spotify, please listen to the whole album!!!
For those who don't you can listen to 4 tracks off the album on
http://www.nephwrack.com/music.html
Looking forward to your comments! Enjoy the melodies.
Needless to say, if you really like what you hear, stay in touch and support the band!
Stay heavy folks!

| The music was pretty good, I enjoyed it. The vocals sounded a bit Geddy Lee-ish at times to my ears or more nasally I guess. What does the name of your band mean? | |

| Hi GrandNational, glad you liked it!
A Nephwrack is a spectre, a wraith that has fallen into oblivion. On the next album there will be a song on this.
Here's some of the rave reviews we've gotten so far:

| Thanks a lot guys!
I encourage you guys to listen to either the full album if you have Spotify or the full 4 songs on the website so you can get a good taste of what we do... as Leviathan Falls is a more thrashy number, Ancestor is full-on heavy metal, The Surge is kinda heavy metal-meets-punk and Ravenscraig is an epic track with a soaring chorus...
Enjoy

| just listening to the album in Spotify now. The Ancestor & The Wraith's Progress are the best of the bunch imo. slightly thrashy & fun riffs. Sectariana reminds me of Staind or something similar though. _________________ | |

| Ancestor is really cool and catchy yeah.
Sectariana is a totally different number... it's meant to be a grower. It's about hell and damnation but it stays mellow and mysterious all the time.
Faint is the Flame is a track I love, just great to listen to and it covers from hard rock to classical heavy metal to power n prog!

Same here. I could hear the Geddy Lee-comparrisons in the vocals, but it's not bad. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I wanted to give your stuff a few days to listen through before I posted. We do not have Spotify up here in Canada, so was only able to listen to the four songs you have on the website.
You guys make some pretty good killer heavy metal. I agree that you guys do play for the most part a very traditional metal sound , and that you do not sound dated. And I really appreciate that there is a good bit of variety between all the tunes. And even with my so-so computer speakers, I can hear you put a lot into the production values.
You are all quite talented with your individual instruments. Like the guitar work that both guys put in. Really like your voice; I can kind of see the Geddy Lee references (probably the vibrato), but you remind me more of Vic Wright from mid era Tokyo Blade.
Unlike a great many on this board, I have nothing against buying downloads and was wondering how much is going into the cd booklet and will it have a ton to read through, or will it be just the cover and credits? If so, I'll just buy it with the i-tunes card I got for my last birthday. Either way, I am down for a shirt. | |

| I only listened to the songs you had posted on your website, but I like what I hear. Good traditional sound but without sounding too dated, and enough variety to keep things interesting. I can kind of hear the Geddy Lee comparisons... maybe that would put some listeners off but I love Rush, so it's all good. Traditional metal is pretty much always a win with me, so yeah, I'd buy it. Good stuff! | |
