Anyone ever heard of this band? It's the band Carl Albert was in before Vicious Rumors.
This is the only album they released with Carl Albert, and it's an awesome speed/US Power Metal album.

His singing is phenomenally great but it is very cheesy. He shows he can sing super high and clean but chose to be more raspy in VICIOUS RUMORS. He really is a versatile, underrated vocalist.
I seem to recall that it had a really annoying horrible ballad on it.

The only ballad on the album is "Just Close Your Eyes," and it's really good!

I love this album. Carl Albert's vocals are godly as usual. Back in the day I had never heard of Villain but then in the mid-90s I got a bootleg of Pantera's Power Metal which was a split with Villain. I completely ignored the Villain tracks until one day I let the disc play and was shocked at how good these Villain tracks were. I thought they were some Italian band that got stuck on the Pantera disc for exposure. Duh.
If you like Carl Albert's vocals track down his release with Ruffians which is similar to Villain.

Have this on vinyl but didnt play it for a long time. I remember it was good but i liked RUFFIANS more with Carl Albert.
