One of my favourite bands. Each album is a step forward, thpugh my persobnl favourites are Mezzo Forte and Sombre Romantic. No idea when Pianissimo is meant to come out (was meant to be three years ago!), but I'm patient .

i find it difficult, but not impossible, to understand people who can only enjoy just one of virgin blacks albums. i love their evolution and the amazing sound they achieve on each of their releases. i can agree that they sound stronger in some ways than in others from album to album but im blown away by it all. my favorite album is elegant...and dying, but i feel deeply about pretty much all theyve put out. it wouldve been cool for them to have an entire album with the industrial elements seen on select tracks from trance and sombre romantic early on. im anticipant about pianissimo but fear it may be another long while. it was definitely too good to be true when they said theyd release all three in a relatively short period of time, alas.

inheritance of the heathens is a demo song i got from the vocalist years ago back when we used to correspond. i wish theyd release a live bootleg or something to get more material out, especially since theyre probably playing a couple new songs live here and there.

No, that Shiva is one of the NWOBHM bands that fell through the cracks. Very good band that stands out from other bands of that movement (one song even has some reggae influence in it). This particular CD was remastered from unreleased material on an old tape (they only had one official release).
