Portal

Not one of my favorite. but their music brings about a weird disturbing feeling.
Good for a listen every now and then but ONLY every now and again. So,anyone else here heard of them?

i usually like stuff like this but portal always sounded lame to me, and they put on the worst show ive ever been to as well (which i recounted in an earlier thread). i guess theres a line between sounding artistically awful/rotten (that is, awful in an appreciable way) and legitimately awful and portal have trouble with sorting out the details.

Yeah,when I say I cant listen to them frequently I mean just a single song every few days. You gotta be in the mood for it,and even then I'm not the hugest fan.
But,nothing against people who love this kind of stuff.

I thought they sounded very sloppy live, I love Portal despite this though. I like listening to them when my roommates are kind of pissing me off.

I've heard the name but haven't checked out any of their music. Aren't they black metal?

not really. Its an extremely unorthodox mix of black and death metal.
