| I'm reading some real strong reviews of their new album and I like what I've heard from their MySpace page. Apparently they've got a few albums out. Anyone familiar with this band? Any recommendations? | |

| Yeah awesome band from the Bay Area. The drummer Reuben is a great friend of mine! Haven't heard the latest yet, but I am sure it kills! | |

| I have also read some very positive reviews, but all their albums seems to be very hard to get. None of the online CD shops I use has got any of their stuff. Would definitely buy some if I can find it. | |

| Finally picked up something by these guys (Hardworlder). Pretty cool traditional/stoner metal. Fans of The Sword would probably dig these guys. They do some nice instrumentals on the cd as well. I'll definately be looking up their back catalog. http://www.myspace.com/sloughfeg | |

| they used to be a refuge for real great US new metal in these dark ages....but alas the way they took with their latest 2 releases is huge disappointment....of course the majority would love them etc etc....time to put traveller on the turntable and forget that they released stuff like atavism or hippieworlder.....
edit: at least i have something to hope from hammers of misfortune(now that august engine vinyl can't be removed from the turntable ) |

| Bumping this thread for 2 reasons... 1. I'm listening to Hardworlder right now 2. They've got a new one coming out June 2nd With a title like Ape Uprising, I can only hope this is a concept album about 'Planet of the Apes'. Man, that would be sweet! I hate every ape I seeFrom chimp-pan-aTo chimp-pan-z _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | My hunch was correct... - Quote :
- Ape Uprising! documents a successful simian insurrection against a race of enslaving humans, told from the point of view of the apes. Concept-wise it’s ripped straight from the Planet of the Apes mythos, but in Slough Feg’s version there is no mercy for humankind, only hatred and domination.
That comment rockets this album up to the top of my want list, pronto! _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.
