I am SO there! Even without Dio himself, I'm still going to go see the band. I might get my extra Angry Machines t-shirt signed... who knows. All I know is, I am taking a day off school to go see that. Anyone else interested?

| They say they're doing this band as a tribute, but I dunno... it still feels like a cash grab. | |

| I'm a bit leary of this too. But I do actually like Tim Owens, so I may give them a chance. | |

| I caught them at Download festival earlier this year and was a bit apprehensive about what to expect. Suffice to say, it didn't seem like a cash grab in the end - rather it genuinely seemed like a labour of love. Tim's voice works surprisingly well for the Dio stuff and there was a certain atmosphere of mutual appreciation and mourning for Dio between the crowd and the band. It was an interesting dynamic and it didn't seem like a bunch of guys exploiting the passing of one of the greats. There was even a few blokes in the crowd shedding a tear (although I have a feeling they were absolutely plastered by that point).
Ultimately, if you're a Dio fan, they're definitely worth checking out. It does seem quite a genuine tribute, which is all we can ask for really. _________________

Well, I like to think I'm one of the bigger Dio fans around, so I'm definitely going. It's nice to hear it's a true to heart tribute, though, and not just a money-making thing. I would probably still go either way (even if they're doing it for the cash, I can do it for Dio, right?), but it's good to know we're all in it together!
