I would agree that Fires of Babylon is not as good as Rob's solo stuff, but it's ok.

Matthew Sweet? Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I have Altered Beast, 100% Fun and I think one other one but haven't spun any of them in forever. I was a major alt fanboy for a while there back in the 90s.

I'm not a huge fan of "100% Fun", but I love "Altered Beast". It really has dated well too. It represents to me an era. Makes me feel good when I think about it.

Though I've always been a metalhead first and foremost - at around 1990 I decided to always be open-minded, and not a closed-minded metalhead like some of my friends were. So I started checking out some stuff like Depeche Mode and other sythpop. Then I got into goth and industrial pretty heavy. Then I started liking some of the 90s alt. I don't like it all ... but there is a significant portion of it that I do.
