Are you asking if there are any issues when you rip music from a burned CD or DVD instead of using the original disc? Im not positive but I would think you might find that the quality is a little lesser once the information you want is burned but im not sure.

| There is no generation loss, you are just copying 1's and 0's, there is no actual audio or video on these discs, just "data".
You can make 5000 copies and all of them will be identical.

a computer with a CD/DVD burner and software is the easiest method. |

a computer with a CD/DVD burner and software is the easiest method. Agreed. Just uplaod the cd to any number of media players aand/or just save the files to folder on your desk top and then tranfer those files to your cd/dvd drive... In windows media player for example, after you uplaod the tunes to it there is an option in the player to "burn" music. And as for copwrite infringment, I beleive a "backup" copy is allowed without being considered "piracy".

a computer with a CD/DVD burner and software is the easiest method. there probably are stereos in Japan that have it as simple as popping in your cd and it copies then you pop in a blank cd-r to burn. but using your computer dvd burner is easy though. Nero BurningRom is pretty easy to use, has a simple copy cd function, once you figure out the icons. or use DvdFab. Store bought dvd's hold more data than the blank dvd-r's you buy, you need to use a program like DVDShrink to shrink the size to fit on blank if you want to back up a movie...speaking of which, I have a Schwazenegger flick with a crack in it. I better copy before it won't work at all someday.

You can use any computer as long as you have a burning program or windows media player.. Do you want one of us to come over and show you where you put the disc in?

I better copy before it won't work at all someday. I need to do that with some of my DVDs but I'm too lazy to get the DVD player from my old computer and install it in my current one. Unless of course there is some way to burn a DVD from my desktop to my laptop or vice versa, but I don't know if that's possible.

you have a 'help' button on Windows Media Player. It will walk you through it!
