Little Ice Age

Whats everyones thoughts on this and the Sunspots?Anyone think much colder winters are ahead?

Is that making the rounds again? The "little ice age" was a popular theory in the 70's before "global warming" became the popular theory in the late 80's

"Little Ice Age?" Sounds like a cartoon show. Y'know, like a Muppet Babies or Disney Babies with the "Ice Age" characters as toddlers.

All you need is some sunspots and a few erupting volcanoes and we're there.

Back in the deep freeze.

All I know is that fishing is weird this year. The water is warm now, but still fishing like it's cold in March.

They talked about the last "Little Ice Age" in my Climate and Global Change class I had almost a year age, and there is lots of evidence that it was linked to significantly reduced sunspot activity. Although there was a pretty big drop for a while now, the activity is going back up in the last year or so however. So we are not about to have another one.

I don't know anything about the science behind any of these things, but if our earth is over 4 billion years old, it has probably gone through more than its share of ice ages and global warmings.

The earth changes in some small way all the time.

yep. First the 'experts' told us that it was a fact we were going to freeze, then the 'experts' were giving us dire warnings on warming and how we should all go back to bicycles or fry. Now that there is no money left in global warming, its back to the ice age....

Haven't heard about this theory yet. I don't believe in it like I don't believe in global warning. I guess time will tell if either is correct.

Yeah, Algore and his cronies have wrapped up the "carbon credit" market (and it is worth billions of dollars)
