| It's hard to believe it's happening in this day and age, but her new album looks like it's going to set a record for most copies sold in its first week...

| Count me in as one of those copies sold. I picked up a copy for my wife for Christmas. I guess I'm becoming a bit of a fan. I've heard her first album enough and I don't dislike it. She's much better than some of the other pop crap my wife listens to. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | She is not something I'd listen to at all (besides what I may here on the radio) but I got to admit she has a beautiful voice. | |

| I swear I'm the only person on this planet who thinks that new Hello song is awful. I'll agree she has a gorgeous voice and possibly the strongest songwriting as opposed to her contemporaries--but it's that damn overcooked and overused chord progression with a melody that I swear I've heard several times before. A beautiful voice can't mask the derivative mediocrity in its underlying composition. And the masses eat it up as if the world were new. | |

I actually ordered my mom the album for Christmas, since she really likes her music. | |

| It's not too surprising - she has a fan base that actually pays for their music. I am sure having written and performed what is now considered one of the best Bond them songs helped a lot. | |
